The Reds sent down seven players on Wednesday as they continue to move closer toward finalizing their 25-man roster for Opening Day.
Along with outfielder Jesse Winker, right-handers Barrett Astin, Keury Mella, Jackson Stephens and Nick Travieso and outfielders Aristides Aquino and Phillip Ervin were also protected by the Reds from the Rule 5 Draft.
