In 2018 participated in his third straight Major League spring training camp, his second as a player on the 40-man roster...entered the 2018 season rated by Baseball America the fifth-best prospect in the organization...was the Reds' supplemental first-round pick in the June 2012 draft (49th overall as compensation for the loss of Type B free agent Ramon Hernandez)...following the 2016 season participated in leadership training at West Point...in 2015 was the Reds' Minor League Hitter of the Year...in 2014 was a California League All-Star, Arizona Fall League Rising Star/Top Prospect and AFL Player of the Week for 10/8-10/14...also in 2014, started in LF for the U.S. team in the Sirius XM All-Star Futures Game and led the Arizona Fall League in hitting...in 2013 was Reds Minor League Hitter of the Year, a Midwest League All-Star, Reds Minor League Player of the Month for May and Midwest Player of the Week for 5/13-5/20...in 2012 and 2013 was an Milb.com Organizational All-Star...in 2012 was a Topps Rookie All-Star...graduated from Olympia High School in Orlando...brother Joey was drafted by the Dodgers in 2011.
