Cueto gets an extra day of rest for Reds
CINCINNATI -- In a late change on Thursday, Reds manager Dusty Baker flip-flopped Bronson Arroyo and Johnny Cueto in the rotation.
Arroyo, who's never been a fan of pitching in day games, instead starting Friday night's series opener against San Diego. Cueto now will pitch Saturday afternoon.
"He's been throwing a lot of pitches," said Baker of Cueto. "It's just to get him another day's rest."
In his three starts this season, Cueto has thrown 322 pitches in 16 innings.
