ST. LOUIS -- The Reds won a managerial challenge on Monday night vs. the Cardinals and successfully overturned an umpire's safe call on a fourth-inning stolen-base attempt.

With one out in the fourth, Mike Leake delivered a pitch that yielded a strike three swing from Jon Jay. On first base, Oscar Taveras attempted to steal and appeared to slide feet-first safely into second. Umpire Todd Tichenor ruled Taveras safe.

Trailing 3-0 at the time, Cincinnati saw something different, however, and manager Bryan Price used his challenge. The call was overturned and Taveras was ruled out in what proved to be the inning-ending double play.

Price is 7-13 this season in his replay challenge attempt.
