Mesoraco immediately argued before heading to the dugout when Price emerged and interjected. Following a few moments of discussion, Rackley tossed Price from the game.
"Those check swings are a son-of-a-gun," Price said after the Reds' 5-2 defeat. "I understand it's a very difficult call for the umpires. I don't [think] either one of those umpires are trying to get the call wrong. It seemed to me it started with the Ryan Braun check swing. I thought he went and that one of the two guys would get [it]. Neither one did. Then Devin gets called out on what I thought was not a swing. It seemed like in that series of events, those calls were all going against us. I didn't care for that."
It was the second time this season that Price has been ejected.
