Cabrera touched second base and started toward third until the ball was caught. It appeared that he did not touch second base as he scampered back to first. The ball was thrown in to second baseman Brandon Phillips, who flipped to Zack Cozart before he touched the bag to try for the out.
Reds manager Bryan Price challenged the safe call but after the review, it was ruled the safe call would stand.
Price has had only three successful challenges this season out of 12 attempts. Six times, the ruling was the call would stand, which meant there wasn't sufficient evidence to overturn the original call.
