CINCINNATI -- Manager Bryan Price said Friday that first baseman Joey Votto, who has been on the disabled list with a strained left quadriceps, would be reevaluated after a full workout of batting practice, fielding and running the bases prior to the Reds' series opener with the Phillies at Great American Ball Park.

"I'm sure sometime after the game tonight we'll revisit his schedule [going forward]," Price said.

After the Reds' 8-0 loss to Philadelphia, Price said Votto was closer to beginning a rehab assignment, but that more details would be made available on Saturday.
