Bonifacio went for a delayed steal off the battery of Homer Bailey and Devin Mesoraco and was called safe at second on a bang-bang play. Price came out to challenge and the call was overturned after a review.
Price has challenged three calls. The first call went against the Reds when it was confirmed, while the last two have been overturned in his favor.
"If there's not some hard evidence that's going to suggest that that play can be overturned, if it's a questionable play, if it's worth -- maybe especially late in the game [with] the game on the line -- maybe you take a chance," Price said of his decisions to challenge calls.
"We know that. We have our hand signals, our 'Hey, maybe it's not a guaranteed overturn challenge, however, it makes sense at this point to go ahead and deal with a shot.'"
