CINCINNATI -- The Reds and Findlay Market are reaching back into a long and storied history for the parade that kicks off Opening Day.

It was announced on Tuesday that shortstop great Davey Concepcion will be the Grand Marshall of the 95th Findlay Market Opening Day Parade.

The parade begins at noon ET on Monday, March 31. The Reds' 2014 season opener is vs. the Cardinals at 4:10 p.m.

In a 19-season career spent entirely with Cincinnati from 1970-88, Concepcion owned a .267 average, 101 home runs and 950 RBIs. He was a nine-time All Star, a five-time Gold Glove Award winner and part of the Big Red Machine clubs that won World Series titles in 1975 and '76.

Concepción was inducted in the Reds Hall of Fame in 2000 and his jersey No. 13 was retired by the Reds in '07.
