"He was trying to beat out that throw right after he crossed the bag," Reds manager Dusty Baker said. "I don't know the severity of it. He was just kind of limping."
Heisey was removed from the game as a precautionary measure. He said after the game that he could've kept playing if it was absolutely necessary.
"I felt a little tweak in my hamstring. I tried to stay in the game," Heisey said. "They took me out just to prevent any further injury that may have occurred. We'll just have to reevaluate in the morning and see how it is tomorrow."
