SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Reds utility infielder Jason Donald, who is competing for one of the final bench spots, has been out for a couple of days with a sore right knee.
"He had a collision at second base when the guy slid into him [on Friday]," Reds manager Dusty Baker said on Sunday morning.
Donald, who is out of Minor League options, is competing with Cesar Izturis and Emmanuel Burriss for the utility spot. Donald is batting .303 (10-for-33) in 21 games this spring.
