Heisey presented with Heart and Hustle Award
CINCINNATI -- In pregame ceremonies on the field Friday, Reds great George Foster presented outfielder Chris Heisey with the Heart and Hustle Award.

Created by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association in 2005 and annually presented to one player on each of the 30 clubs, the Heart and Hustle Award is given to current players who "demonstrate a passion for the game and best embodies the game's values, spirit and tradition."

The national Heart and Hustle Award winner will be revealed on Nov. 13.

Past Reds winners of the award include Miguel Cairo (2011), Jonny Gomes (2010), Adam Rosales (2009), Jerry Hairston Jr. (2008), Ryan Freel (2007) and Adam Dunn (2006).
