Ludwick appreciative of support for nephew
CINCINNATI -- After his 3-for-5, three-RBI game in Sunday's 5-2 win vs. the Yankees, the Reds' Ryan Ludwick mentioned for the first time in a postgame interview with FOX Sports Ohio that he was thinking of his young nephew, Cody, who is battling cancer. FS Ohio interviewer Jim Day tweeted support for Cody, which brought an outpouring of support for Ludwick and his family.

"I've got some other stuff in my life that puts things in perspective," said Ludwick, who started in left field for the Reds on Monday vs. Atlanta. "It's amazing the response it got from saying it on the air the other day. There are tremendous people out there. It's a blessing."
