Janish fractures wrist on hit by pitch
CINCINNATI -- Shortstop Paul Janish, who spent most of the 2010 and 2011 seasons with the Reds, suffered a fractured left wrist with Triple-A Louisville. Janish was hit by a pitch as the Bats played at Norfolk on Saturday and was placed on the disabled list.

"He was playing well, too," Reds manager Dusty Baker said. "I heard he was one of the few guys playing well down there, so far."

In 23 games, Janish was batting .315 with two home runs, four RBIs and a .390 on-base percentage.

In other injury news out of Louisville, catcher Dioner Navarro was placed on the DL because of kidney stones.
