CINCINNATI -- Reds reliever Nick Masset was eligible to come off of the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday, but there was no chance of that happening. Out with a sprained right shoulder, Masset has yet to resume throwing. "I'm definitely chomping at the bit, but it's one of those things that it's a process," Masset said. "You want to make sure everything is healed." Masset has been doing therapy and strength exercises in lieu of throwing. He hopes to play catch soon, before getting on a mound for some side sessions and ultimately a rehab assignment in the Minors before he can be activated. He was not sure if he would be with the club to continue his rehab for the road trip that begins after Wednesday's game.
"As of right now, my arm feels great," Masset said. "It feels free, loose and strong. That's basically where we want to be. Hopefully it stays that way."
