GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Yet to see any game action because of an irritation in his right elbow, Reds closer Ryan Madson remained confident Monday that his injury was not serious.
"I'm playing catch [Tuesday]," Madson said. "It's just a normal Spring Training kickback. It's happened to me the past couple of years."
Madson, who had been shut down the past few days, has been examined by team medical director Dr. Tim Kremchek.
"I've taken my time with it, and I'm getting treatments and stretching it," Madson said. "It's nothing major, just some soreness. It shouldn't be long before I am in a game."
