Inner ear problem keeps Bruce out of lineup
CINCINNATI -- Reds right fielder Jay Bruce was out of the lineup for a second straight game on Saturday because of dizziness.

"He is terrible," Baker said. "Right now Jay is having an inner ear problem. He just woke up with it. I just saw him the afternoon before and he was great, walking his dog and seeing his girl. That's why as a manager, you have to get here early because you don't know what can happen overnight."

Fred Lewis got the start in right field Saturday against the Braves.

It was not known when Bruce might return to the lineup, but he did enter Saturday's 11-2 win as a pinch-hitter. The Reds trailed, 2-1, when his sixth-inning leadoff double to right field off Derek Lowe sparked a three-run rally that gave Cincinnati the lead for good. After the hit, Bruce was lifted for pinch-runner Mike Leake.
