Reds at the plate: Chris Denorfia's broken-bat single to center field scored the tying run in the bottom of the ninth inning. After a wild pitch, non-roster catcher Ryan Jorgensen followed with an RBI single up the middle for the game-winner. Adam Dunn was 2-for-2 with two singles. Mark Bellhorn's RBI single through the right side scored Cincinnati's first run of the game.Pirates at the plate: Ronny Paulino hit a two-run triple to center field in the first inning. Andrew McCutchen had two hits. Pittsburgh scattered 11 hits in the game.
Up next: The Reds will remain in Sarasota for a 1:05 p.m. ET game against the Blue Jays on Friday. The Pirates will travel to St. Petersburg for a 1:05 p.m. game against the Devil Rays.
