SAN DIEGO -- Reds pitcher Johnny Cueto, who is on the 15-day disabled list for mild inflammation in his right shoulder, pitched in game conditions for the first time on Monday morning since going down.
Facing hitters at extended spring training at the team complex in Goodyear, Ariz., Cueto threw two innings and allowed two runs and three hits with no walks and two strikeouts while throwing 34 pitches.
Other than that, details were not readily available yet.
"I know he came through it unscathed. I haven't got the full report," Reds pitching coach Bryan Price said.
Cueto is slated to head out on a rehab assignment at Triple-A Louisville on Saturday.
