GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Had the Reds played their game on Monday, they would have done it without catcher Ryan Hanigan. Devin Mesoraco was slated to start behind the plate because Hanigan was scratched from the lineup due to a a sore right pinky finger.

Hanigan took a foul tip off his finger a couple of days ago.

"It's not a big deal," Hanigan said. "I took batting practice today and everything was all right."
